Sales Representative

Marubeni-Itochu Steel America is part of a global team trading in a wide range of steel products.  We are currently seeking a Sales Representative for our Detroit office.  Responsibilities include developing new business opportunities by calling on local Tier 1 accounts, providing quotes to customers and securing orders.  Assists in maintaining current customer relationships with large Tier 1 customers. Reviews and negotiates settlement of claims/collections for assigned accounts.  Monitors customer credit limits and inventory levels. Coordinates logistic issues by communicating with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers in order to fulfill requests.  Works with staff members engaged in providing sales/client support, i.e. invoices, purchase orders and import/export documentation and monitoring credit limits.  Qualified candidates will have a Bachelors degree along with 5 years relevant experience.  Steel experience preferred.  Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, detail orientation and computer literacy are a must.
