Sales
FlorStar Sales, Inc. began operations in 1850, as a subsidiary of Carson Pirie Scott. In 1988, a management team organized FlorStar as a private company in an MBO transaction. We have since become one of the largest distributors of floor covering products in the United States. One of the essential reasons for our success is our historic relationship with industry dominant vendors such as Armstrong World Industries (“Armstrong”). In fact, FlorStar is the largest distributor of the industry leading Armstrong product line. FlorStar has single distribution exclusively for all Armstrong products in Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, part of Indiana and Ohio and Illinois north of Springfield. FlorStar takes great pride in this accomplishment and strives to maintain the highest customer service possible.
As part of our commitment to servicing our customer we are currently looking for a talented, experienced sales rep to join our team in Eastern Iowa.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
· Maintaining an up-to-date Customer Profile notebook
· Keeping daily, weekly, monthly reports as directed by management
· Understanding and achievement of a budget
· Attendance at all Sales meetings, inventories, markets and other Company functions as notified
· Having complete and organized necessary selling tools, books, price lists, samples and other needed items to service the customer
· Timely input of all pricing
· Maintain Retailer Sample Program
· Prompt handling of any customer claims and disputes
· Full cooperation with the Credit Manager
· Assist with telemarketing accounts as required
· VMX checked a minimum of four times per day
· Utilization of a laptop computer per company specifications to include the use of company e-mail
· Other responsibilities that may be assigned by management
· Ability to travel when necessary
· Ability to work independently
· Excellent communication skills
