The Corporate Office is located in Frankfort, IL, which is approximately 35 miles southwest of Chicago. Our facility's showroom is one of the largest in the industry showcasing CBI's full product line. About the Opportunity This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience in the industry. The work environment is fast-paced, furious, and high-energy. You'll be working with a visible and accessible management team. Craig Bachman Imports is looking for a(n) Purchasing Clerk who obtains requirements; verifies purchase requisitions; forwards available inventory items; prepares purchase orders; obtains purchased items; verifies receipt of items; authorizes payment for purchases; keeps information accessible; provides purchasing planning and control information; updates job knowledge; accomplishes purchasing and organization mission.

Qualifications

Capable of producing detailed, comprehensive documentation.

Maintains painstaking attention to detail, completing multiple or repetitive tasks. Demonstrates a serious commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals or deadlines.

Monitors vendor effectiveness in terms of cost, quality, and delivery.

Handles complex problems effectively. Separates key issues and generates multiple solutions.

Easily analyzes and prioritizes information, distilling it to the critical issues and drawing accurate conclusions.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Experience developing communication processes and procedures to facilitate the exchange of information among internal and external groups.

Experience informing clients, superiors, peers, and direct reports based on their information needs.

Effectively develops newsletters, composes memos, and directs correspondence to keep employees informed of new company developments and events.

Sets a comfortable tone and encourages open communication. Listens attentively and actively.

Makes articulate, effective presentations to a variety of audiences using visual aids, slide shows, and other media.

Articulates ideas clearly and concisely in a variety of settings, adjusting the message to match the audience.

Writes effectively using various styles to address a wide range of needs and audiences.

PC experience in Macintosh or Windows environments. Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software.

Is team-oriented and works collaboratively to achieve team goals.

Manages time effectively and prioritizes completing tasks to meet deadlines.

Is attentive to the needs of customers. Responds quickly and competently to customer requests.

Knowledge of quality and inspection requirements, manufacturing processes, and measurement techniques.

Has effective organizational skills. Keeps files and work area organized.

High School Diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years experience preferred.

Familiar with general office equipment, including phones, faxes, copiers, scanners, and printers.
