Product Line Manager (Men's) - Sperry Top-Sider

The PLM supports the Director in all areas of the product development process primarily: business planning, concept/design, development, and hand off to commercialization.  The Product Line Manager plays a key role in the tactical day-to-day operations of the product team.  The person in this role is also responsible for cross-functional/cross divisional communications and functions. RESPONSIBILITIES:· Assist category VP in developing season business plan and initiatives from concept thru go to market.. Include line plan analysis to ensure will merchandised line-including maximum sku productivity, segmentation by distribution, silhouette, price point etc.· Work closely with design, development and engineering/fit teams on execution of seasonal product lines in line with strategic and financial plans· Direct liaison with Sales and Sales Planning/Merchandise team to create and maintain seasonal line plans.· Process mapping and timeline management throughout season· Provide analysis of external market and internal business SWOT· Provide and share timely and detailed analysis of sales data; sell in and sell thru· Be the category point person for sales force and retailers· Meet with key accounts in collaboration with sales to review and garner feedback on seasonal product assortments · Central communication point person between designers, developers, and Asia liaison team and responsible for all in line changes· Own product presentation at sales meetings· Manage all proto, pre-line, sales meeting samples  REQUIREMENTS:The Product Line Manager must have product footwear experience preferred, but candidates with apparel, accessories, product, buying, or merchandising backgrounds will also be considered.  There will be limited travel to Far East.  This individual should have a strong work ethic, enjoy working interactively with various disciplines, and have strong written and verbal communication skills.  He/She is highly organized, versatile and flexible, enjoys working on variety of projects and shirting gears midstream.  Computer literate:  Excel, Word, PowerPoint Company: The Stride Rite Corporation Location: 02420 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Marketing/Product Career Level: Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff)
