Import/Export Coordinator
SUMMARY: To assist in the day-to-day operations of the import department and make sure customer requirements are met.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Ø Help monitor and motivate department with regard to daily workflow.Ø Assisting department co-workers with problems, questions, organization of specials transports, service contracts, and special inlands.Ø Informing department co-workers of changing industry requirements and laws.Ø Keeping management informed of problems, progress, and requirements in the department.Ø Customer service, bookings, documentation, routing of assigned shipments.Ø Quotations to sales support, overseas offices and/or agentsØ Communication with Vendors and Warehouse to assure smooth work flow and customer satisfaction.Ø Call customers when necessary to advise shipment status and/or obtain information necessary to process shipments. Ø Handling customer calls in a professional manner EXPERIENCE: Ø Minimum of 2 years experience as Import/Export coordinator is required.Ø Excellent oral and written communication skillsØ Able to work under critical deadlinesØ Highly organized and the ability to multi-task handling various projects as assignedØ High School Diploma or equivalent required Interested candidates please submit your resumes to JenniferRagadio@spherion.com or apply online at www.spherioncareers.com.
