Import/Export Coordinator

SUMMARY:  To assist in the day-to-day operations of the import department and make sure customer requirements are met.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned: Ã˜ Help monitor and motivate department with regard to daily workflow.Ø Assisting department co-workers with problems, questions, organization of specials transports, service contracts, and special inlands.Ø Informing department co-workers of changing industry requirements and laws.Ø Keeping management informed of problems, progress, and requirements in the department.Ø Customer service, bookings, documentation, routing of assigned shipments.Ø Quotations to sales support, overseas offices and/or agentsØ Communication with Vendors and Warehouse to assure smooth work flow and customer satisfaction.Ø Call customers when necessary to advise shipment status and/or obtain information necessary to process shipments.
