INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Tool-Smith Company, a regional distributor of industrial powered tools, has an opening for an Inside Sales person at our home office in Birmingham.  We have been doing business throughout the Southeast for 29 years and continue to grow.  As a result, our customers need for us to add a customer service HERO to our staff.  The daily activities include:

Answering incoming calls

  Preparing quotes

  Entering orders

  Expediting orders

  Solving problems

  Assisting the outside sales force

Doing anything necessary to serve the customer and move the company forward.

Requirements include:

  Having a great attitude

  Excellent phone demeanor

  Computer literacy (proficiency preferred)

  Ability to “take the heatâ€� of a hectic environment and keep a cool head

  Experience in inside sales, preferably in an industrial distribution setting

  Ability to learn fast, we have a lot of information to process, usually on the run

A college degree is not a requirement, but it will greatly enhance your

advancement potential

 

This position is hourly and requires punching a time clock.  We work a standard 45 hour week from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 1 hour lunch.  Five hours per week of overtime is normal.  After a probationary period, there is a monthly bonus for meeting sales goals.  There is almost no afterhours or weekend work.  We have a complete benefits package.  We require a pre-employment physical and drug screen and are implementing a random drug screening policy.
