Help Desk Technician

Duralee is looking for a highly motivated person to join our IT department.  Duralee is a family owned and operated company that was founded in 1952 and has consistently offered the interior design market quality products, designed for today's lifestyles, while keeping our focus on excellent value and customer service.

We have an opening in our IT department for a Help Desk and Operations Support person.

 

Primary Duties:

- Answer helpdesk calls / e-mails

- Provide support for helpdesk calls

- Ensure all calls are properly logged, documented, escalated, and closed

- User administration and support for various company applications

- Troubleshoot PC hardware, software and all other IT related devices

 

Other Duties:

- Cross-train with other members of the team

- Resolve and respond to issues based on standards implemented

- Unpack, connect and test new computers, printers and other peripherals

- Contact vendors to solve technical issues as required

- Administer application and system security as directed by Help Desk manager.

- Communicate user/technical service policies for products supported by the help desk

- Provide solutions directly to users for problems of low/medium status to ensure user

  productivity

 

Requirements for the Help Desk and Operation SupportCollege Degree (IT, CS, IS)Windows XP or Vista2003 Server is a plusExperience providing application support and/or testing a plus.Experience with web programming a plus.Microsoft Office [Word, Excel- Required / Access, PowerPoint a plus]Basic PC / Hardware KnowledgeBasic NetworkingWell SpokenGood CommunicationsTeam Player

This job is not limited to sitting at a desk and answering phone calls and e-mails. There is a lot of office footwork required
