ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Responsible for successful and timely completion of department key functions (bill payment, expense reports, petty cash, weekly check runs)



 

Streamline processes and create efficiencies while maintaining compliance with corporate approval policies and fraud prevention.

 Perform special accounting and finance projects as needed.

 

Supervision of 3 Accounts Payable Clerks

 

Perform bank reconciliations.

 

Book journal entries.

 

Interface with other departments for invoice approvals and classification.

 

Provide daily/weekly reporting for cash flow projections and tracking

 

Ensure timely follow up with all vendor inquiries.

 

Generate 1099’s for applicable vendors

 

Set up new vendors and ensure receipt of W-9’s

 

Management and maintenance of all AP ledgers and Purchasing receiver ledgers

 

Support Accounting Team on Fixed Asset postings and Prepaid expenses.

 

Assist Controller and accounting staff with year end Audit.

 

Miscellaneous projects as required

 

MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

This position manages the Accounts Payable Department staff including Supervisor, and AP Analysts and reports to the General Accounting Manager.

Requirements

Business Degree from a 4 year college or university preferred



Minimum 5 years Accounts Payable and general accounting Experience



Ability to take on special accounting project



Ability to work with various departments and improve the flow of information between departments

 Previous supervisory experience

 Extremely organized with ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects

 Excellent follow through with internal and external correspondence

 Strong analytical, written & verbal communication and problem solving skills.

 Strong Computer Skills
