Position Summary

Under the general supervision of the Accounts Receivable Manager or other supervisory/management-level position within the Finance department.  The Collections Clerk position analyzes the paying habit of customers who are delinquent in payment of account while maintaining a good relationship.

 

Accountabilities:The individual in this position must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.  This person must have quick 10 key skills, attention to detail, organized and familiar with an accounting general ledger system. Must be able to get along with others well.Make collection calls on past due accounts and log conversation and actions in the system. Reconcile balances with customer.Communicate customer issues with customer service personnel and or sales representativesKeep Accounts Receivable Supervisor informed about any special issues or problemsMaintain resale certificates of customers if applicableMUST HAVE COMMERCIAL COLLECTIONS NOT CONSUMER COLLECTIONS

 

Requirements and qualifications:This person should have prior experience making commercial collection call to commercial account holders.Accounts receivable experience is required.  Computer proficiency includes Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook a plus.MUST HAVE COMMERCIAL COLLECTIONS NOT CONSUMER COLLECTIONS
