A leading wholesale distributor located in Memphis, TN. is searching for an energetic, professional, and dedicated person to be our Accountant. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills and be a proactive and creative problem solver. Accountant will work with all aspects of Finance, Accounting, Payroll and Human Resources operations.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

¨ Cash Management

¨ Banking transactions including: cash reports, loan reports, monthly bank reconciliations, journal entries, and account analysis

¨ Manage Accounts Receivable and Collections process, Resolve AR issues

¨ Daily and monthly Sales reports and analysis

¨ Inventory Analysis & Accuracy

¨ Co-ordinate Accounts Payable

¨ Auditing/monitoring all AR/AP invoices for accuracy

¨ Responsible for Pricing Accuracy

¨ Preparing monthly P&L, Balance Sheet and P&L & Cost variance analysis

¨ Reconcile various GL Accounts

¨ Reviewing general ledger accounts for accuracy

¨ Work with external auditors and help in completing the annual audit, financial statements, schedules etc.

¨ Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring

¨ Process weekly and semi-monthly payroll

¨ Managing benefits administration through outsourced providers

¨ Payroll taxes, business license, and property taxes

¨ Overseeing the maintenance and development of effective controls

¨ Establish sound accounting policies and procedures

¨ Special Projects as needed

 

Requirement:



 

¨ Establish accounting policies and procedures

¨ Bachelors Degree in Accounting

¨ 3-5 years experience as Accountant

¨ Stable Employment History

¨ Highly competent leader and manager

¨ Highly proficient in MS Office and Excel in particular

¨ Solid understanding of accounting principles

¨ Ability to work within established deadlines

¨ Excellent written and oral communication skills

¨ Team oriented, with ability to multi-task and work independently

¨ Excellent skills in problem resolution; initiative, resourceful and investigative nature

¨ Analytical and independent thought process; ability to prioritize and handle confidential and sensitive information

¨ Positive Attitude, Great work ethics is very important
