Regional Logistics Manager for Central/Western Regions
Casella Waste Systems, Inc., the northeast’s leader in integrated waste management, is currently recruiting for a Regional Logistics Manager to work in their Central and Western Regions, consisting of VT, NY and southern NH. This position will report to the Director of Transportation.Key responsibilities for this position include:• Optimize routing of collection vehicle fleet by implementing routing software • Provide leadership, supervision and training to routing analysts• Working as part of a team, develop new strategies while reevaluating existing operations• Develop and implement tracking and monitoring tools to accurately quantify fleet performance• Work in unison with regional and division personnel to establish standard routes and monitor productivity• Develop and review Safe Operating Procedures and compliance pertaining to fleet operations• Partner with Regional teams and home office departments to maximize operating and transportation strategies• Collaborate with the VP of Fleet Management to optimize equipment utilization• Support all cross functional departments. Ensure alignment of routing strategies with Sales team Support Legal Department in the areas of contract and insurance requirements Support Safety Department by ensuring that all safety SOP’s and DOT regulations are adhered to. Support IT Department in the implementation and maintenance of all transportation related software and hardware. Assist the regional operations and sales managers in the creation of pricing sheets and matrices.A commitment to understanding, practicing and enforcing Casella Waste Systems, Inc. Safety Policies is essential. The ability to review and measure daily productivity to increase efficiencies is requiredA working knowledge of applicable DOT regulations, eight to ten years transportation experience and a Bachelors Degree in Business or Logistics is required. Extensive multi-state travel is a requirement of this position.
