Warehouse Worker, Wallinford, CT

The Warehouse Worker reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor, and is responsible for assisting with shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, assembling customer orders, and organizing warehouse and work area. Also responsible for adhering to all safety procedures. Position involves heavy lifting.
Job Duties:
-Assist with shipping and receiving, unloading of trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales orders and distribution to sales associates for processing.
-Read customer orders work orders, shipping orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
-Filling requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.
-Assisting with the counting of the physical inventory.
Qualifications/Requirements:
-Â High School diploma or GED.

- Three months or more related experience or training.
Â
- The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Â
- The ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Â
- The ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
Â
- Must have the ability to prioritize work load and manage time.
Â
- Must have flexible work schedule, and be available weekends.
