Vanpool Services Representative

Pace Suburban Bus has a Vanpool Services Representative position available at our Headquarters in Arlington Heights, IL. Under the direction of the Regional Manager, Paratransit Vanpool Services, or Designee, acts as primary Pace contact for volunteer vanpool drivers and riders and provide assistance on all aspects of the Pace Vanpool Incentive Program (VIP). Coordinates services with external agencies (public/private/not-for-profit) and support service providers. Provides personalized service to assigned vanpools. Maintains up-to-date files/records on existing vanpool groups. Processes vanpool participant applications and provides vanpool driver candidate classroom instruction on VIP operation and administrative procedures. Reviews vanpool group monthly reports and assists with van movements and deliveries. Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualified candidate must have at least 3 years highly responsible customer service, or equivalent, experience and a Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent. Must demonstrate strong written, oral and organizational skills and be able to identify and resolve interpersonal conflicts/complaints. Must have previous experience in conducting training and/or presentations to groups of 25 to 30 individuals. Qualified candidate must have a valid driver's license, good driving record and familiarity with the Pace six-county service area. Must have excellent computer skills and demonstrate proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets (primarily Word and Excel). Experience with project management techniques and principles and group dynamics is highly desirable. Qualified candidate must have a good work history.
