Tour Manager

Jack Morton Worldwide is looking for (2) experienced event marketers to serve as Tour Manager and Assistant Tour Manager for a 2008 College Promotional Tour.  The Tour Manager/ Ast. Tour Manager Team will travel across the country as part of a 40-stop mobile marketing tour.  The tour manager will be responsible for executing a series of events at various college football games and University events throughout the fall including many aspects of the logistical planning and staff management. 

This promotion is already activated and we are in need of filling these positions ASAP.  The promotion will run from the end of September thru approximately December 1st.

The responsibilities of the Tour Manager will include, but may not be limited to the following: 

Primary Responsibilities:Act as program ambassador on behalf of Jack Morton Worldwide and its client.  Representing both in an appropriate manner to the general public, sponsors, clients, venue management, local vendors and local staff Ensure that all program objectives are met on a day-to-day basis throughout the duration of the program Execute/Manage all on-site activations which will include the following Display set-up and tear-down Promotional staff management Act as a Brand Ambassador during the eventTransportation of the tour vehicle to and from each event Manage all major operations as it pertains to equipment and vehicles Provide strategic insight on ways to improve the promotional tour

Additional Responsibilities:Ensure all event elements are functioning correctly and carefully cleaned Ensure proper operation and maintenance of tour vehicles

Skills Needed:Pleasant, personable and outgoing Ability to serve as on-site emcee with a proven track record Ability to recognize potential problems on-site and adapt Proactive and able to see challenges and solutions at the “big picture” level

Qualifications: College degree preferred 2-3 years promotional tour experience Must be available to start last week of September and work until late November Clean driving record and must hold a valid driver’s license Must be available to travel extensively Experience driving a box truck or similar vehicleEmail – dan_hicks@jackmorton.com your resume for consideration
