Telemarketing Representative

Essential Activities and Responsibilities:

§         Call members with a declined payment status and obtain a valid form of payment

§         Contact lapsed members to renew their membership or offer a different level that would better fit their needs

§         Contact prospects and persuade them to purchase a membership

§         Correspond with prospects to follow-up on initial sales contacts

§         Obtain enrollment information and follow-up with new members to ensure they are aware of how to make the best use of their membership

§         Explain the benefits of membership and answer any price or product related questions

§         Record names, addresses, purchases, and reactions of prospects contacted

§         Obtain names and telephone numbers of potential customers from sources such as telephone directories, magazine reply cards, and lists purchased from other organizations

§         Conduct client or market surveys in order to obtain information about potential customers.

§         Maintain all prospect and member logs

§         Provide weekly reports to management



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

§         Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing

§         2-5 years work experience

§         Excellent communication skills

§         Must demonstrate the ability to be disciplined, self-motivated, self-managed and be able to multi-task.

§         Willingness to work in a team environment and do what is necessary to meet sales targets

§         Spanish a plus (written and verbal)
