STARTING SALARY: $26.3925 per hour for a 40-hour week, with increments to $28.6450 per hour after three years. Night and weekend differentials.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION: Repair and operate electromechanical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic track and construction equipment.

 

REQUIREMENTS: Four years of full-time journey-level satisfactory experience as a mechanic in the maintenance and repair of: (a) hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic components of automobiles, trucks, buses, marine equipment or aircraft; or (b) equipment of the type used in construction or in the maintenance of structural facilities and track. Please see the Notice of Exam for other acceptable combinations of education/experience.

 

YOU MUST POSSESS A DRIVER’S LICENSE VALID IN THE STATE OF NEW YORK BY THE TIME OF APPOINTMENT.
