The Sales department works with the travel agency channel to increase customer sales through national and regional sales and marketing strategies.  The purpose of Inside Sales is to grow territory sales revenue and passengers by initiating outbound calling campaigns to increase business opportunities, provide sales account management for existing assigned agency accounts, build and nurture relationships with existing assigned accounts, to implement outbound calling and correspondence campaigns, and to facilitate problem resolution for agencies that have contacted Field or Inside Sales.

 THE ROLE OF A SUPERVISOR

The role of a Supervisor at GVI is to do the following:

1. Supervising daily operations and critical GVI business processes.

2. Coaching and providing direction for associates as they contribute to daily operations.

 THE POSITION OF A SUPERVISOR IN INSIDE SALES

A Supervisor in Inside Sales is responsible for the following results:

· Day to day oversight and monitoring the quality, quantity, consistency, and accuracy of outbound calling campaigns, inbound service calls, and outbound On Demand pieces, and outbound Exact Target communications.

· Assist manager in annual outbound calling/correspondence campaign strategies.

· Approves territory outbound communication to travel agencies (e-mail, Exact Target, letter campaigns) to provide relevance, consistency, and accuracy of messaging .

· Facilitating problem resolution between Inside Sales, Field Sales, and other GVI departments regarding resource or Customer Care sales/service issues.  May include communication with Customer Care, Travel Agent Sales and Service, Group Sales,  Accounting, Customer Sales, E-Services, and Traveler Services.

· Provide analysis and troubleshooting using available Siebel, Discoverer, and Exact target tools/reports.

· Assisting with departmental and intradepartmental special or ad hoc projects; assist in resource allocation in the event of an unexpected absence in a territory.

· Developing a positive team environment.

· Fostering a spirit of cooperation and effectively communicating with other departments. 

· Maintaining professional and technical knowledge.  EDUCATION

The preferred candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

The preferred candidate has noteworthy experience in the following areas:

· Working in a supervisory position within the sales or marketing field,  preferably with call center background.

· Managing sales accounts utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and tools.

· Leveraging technology to enhance productivity and efficiency – examples include On Demand, ORS, Exact Target,  Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

· Reaching and exceeding performance and financial targets.

· Setting goals and accomplishing results

· Planning and managing projects or events.
