currently have an opportunity available for a Staff Nurse in the Occupational Health

Services division.

 

The following responsibilities are required:

 Under general supervision, perform nursing assessments including obtaining employee history and taking vital signs.Run diagnostic testing, which may include spirometry, audiometry, EKG, visual acuity, venipuncture, etc.Collect urine samples for drug testing and breath samples for alcohol testing. Ascertain the functionality of diagnostic equipment prior to the beginning of daily Medical Assessment Center operations and report on malfunctioning equipment to the Head Nurse.Collaborate with other members of the occupational health team to facilitate efficient processing of employees or pre-placement candidates.

 

A Valid New York State License as a Registered Nurse and a minimum three years of professional nursing experience is mandatory. Skills in decision making, problem solving, independent nursing judgment, and a broad knowledge of nursing in an occupational setting are highly desired. Excellent interpersonal communication and customer relations skills and knowledge of basic computer skills is also desired.
