Specialized Corporate Travel Counselor
The successful candidate must provide timely and accurate servicing of travel arrangements in a busy client-managed on-site environment. Duties include, but not limited to: air/rail transportation, hotel and car service and auto rentals. Ability to offer consultative expertise on cost effective air routes, travel products and services. Deliver exceptional customer service through effective use of computer skills and positive telephone techniques. Responsive to client needs including high level executive travel requests. This position will also include cross training to support the Executive Services Desk and the Group Air Desk. American Express is an Equal Opportunity Employer. QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years Travel Counselor experience. 3+ years APOLLO experience preferred. Domestic and International experience, including knowledge of European, Asian and Middle-East markets. Automated and manual ticketing experience with proficiency in Ticket Exchanges, MCO's and invoicing. Knowledgeable in area destinations and geography. Excellent customer service skills. PC skills including Microsoft Office applications. Organizational skills sufficient to perform multiple tasks. Superior written and verbal communication skills. Interpersonal skill, team player, flexible and adaptable to an ever changing work environment. Ability to research information on the internet and use web based tools. Ability to respond positively to needs of demanding clients under stressful situations. Posses creativity, innovation and strong problem solving skills. Flexibility and willingness to work beyond scheduled hours. Work and excel in a team oriented corporate environment.
