Software Engineer - Front End Developer

The Vehicle Services User Experience Group includes Usability Architects, Visual Designers and Software Engineers who work together using user-centered design principles to design and develop the front-end components in support of various application development teams. The applications supported are the IT systems that handle the acquisition and sale of over 700,000 vehicles in the Enterprise fleet. The application suite includes operational products used to process vehicle orders and sales as well as business intelligence products that are used to make strategic decisions about Enterprise’s purchasing and sales activities. Several public websites are supported as well. The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Performs duties under direct supervision. Uses established methodologies and documented procedures to perform assigned tasks. Generally performs single function tasks of small to moderate size and scope. Works on problems of limited scope. Requires instruction and guidance on new tasks and assignments. Participates on project teams as a team member. Assists with special projects as assigned. Generally focuses on projects of low to moderate complexity. Required Skills:  Must have working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and CSS Level 2, with adherence to W3C standards and best practices Working knowledge of object-oriented design principles and user-centered design principles are preferred.
