Shipping Staff (Freight) – Edison, NJ ($12.75/hr)

Keefe Group, a national leader in the correctional supply industry, currently has several full-time Shipping Staff (Freight) positions available at our Edison, NJ location. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., possess legal ID, and basic math/reading skills.  Qualified candidates will successfully pass background checks & drug screens.

Responsibilities:
•Pick, scan and ship pick tickets accurately and efficiently.
•Load outgoing containers.
•Unload incoming containers.
•Maintain accurate documentation of orders filled.
•Assist with inventory cycle counts as well as semi-annual inventories.
•Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
•Assist to maintain accurate inventories of all products.
•Keep all products rotated and properly identified with description and code numbers.
•Complete miscellaneous projects assigned by Warehouse Supervisor, Shipping Manager or Receiving Manager.

 

Qualifications:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Forklift experience preferred, but not required.Orderfilling experience a plus.Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to qualify for correctional facility security clearance.Must pass drug screening test. Must pass background check.
