Based in Portsmouth, VA the Senior Director of Business Development for North America is responsible for expanding our terminal operations by focusing on profitable sustainability.
This position offers an outstanding opportunity to join the global team at APM Terminals and contribute to the success of the organization. The position reports to the Vice President Global Business Development
Key Accountabilities
Deliver profitable growth to APM Terminals Lead team and drive for performance Develop business development strategy for geographic scope Build and maintain relationship with all relevant stakeholders Evaluate and validate terminal projects, investments & expansion plans Obtain market intelligence, macro as well as industry related. Act as the liaison between new business and existing business – and with other APMM Business Units Key member of global business development leadership team In cooperation with M&A identify and execute acquisition opportunities
Job Requirements:
Four-year degree from an accredited university Proven 8-10 years of experience in a relevant function, including a business development function Stakeholder Engagement and Communication skills Negotiation skills Business and finance acumen Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and Superior ability to work cross functionally, across a broad scope yet with a proven skill set of delivering to tight deadlines and to superior quality of insight and output Highly driven with a keen interest in taking on new tasks Job Grade : 60 Division/Department : Portsmouth, VA # of Openings : 1 Shift/Hours : Standard Shift (Day) Travel Required : 50-60%
