Outbound Dock Supervisor
Wilson Trucking Corporation currently has an opening for an Outbound Dock Supervisor in Norcross, Georgia. This position will report to the Terminal Manager. We are seeking a self-motivated, forward thinking and experienced individual to work in a fast-paced and high-energy environment.
RESPONSIBILIES:
-Direct and coordinate the daily shift operations of an LTL trucking dock
-Monitor complete dock operations to achieve a safe working environment, proper staffing, freight handling techniques, routing and cut times
-Communicate with dispatch to provide efficient use of equipment and drivers
-Review and analyze operational activities and reports to improve shift performance
-Evaluate performance of dock workers and report on deficiencies
-Coordinate training activities to ensure compliance with Wilson Trucking Corporation, OSHA, and D.O.T. regulations
REQUIREMENTS:
-Degree in transportation, business, or logistics preferred
-Minimum of 3 years supervision experience in an LTL environment
-Good working knowledge of freight movement methods and procedures
-Demonstrated leadership, analytical and organizational skills
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to interact with people at all levels
-Computer literate
-Clean driving record
-Ability to pass drug screen and background check
-Flexible hours required
