Ensure employees comply with rate and service requirements established by customers. Assigns specific duties to employees as required. Ensures all employees are fully trained in all aspects of their job as well as cross-trained in other areas when possible. Assists employee in the sea freight department with any questions or situations that arise with shipments, customers requests, vendors. Prepare and provide customers and overseas offices with rate quotations. Ensures customer profiles are accurate and updates. Prepares export documentation in accordance to country requirements. Ensure timely completion of exports document and coordinates with warehouse for timely delivery to carrier. Maintains employee records and completes yearly employee performance reviews. Assists and answers customer inquires and other related customer service functions. Ensure continuous improvement processes to increase efficiencies, reduces waste and improve performance to our customers.Qualification: Generally XX years Ocean export operations supervisory experience. Knowledge of letters of credit, various ocean carriers, US Export Regulations and high degree of knowledge of seafreight operations. Strong keyboard capability, familiarity with basic accounting principles, understanding of US Automated Export System (AES). Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college. Dangerous Goods FMC certification a plus.
