JOB PURPOSE: Strive to maximize efficiency and workers safety while minimizing absenteeism, thereby maintaining increased production. This is accomplished by maximizing public health measures, up to date medical care and industrial hygiene controls, and restore and promote the health of the workers at BAE Systems. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: *    Provide advanced first aid treatment with diagnosis and treatment plan for minor injuries and initial documentation. *    Determines (triage) if M.D. is required and assess if a specialist is needed for complex injuries. *    Assist with the determination of questionable injuries, i.e. industrial injury vs. non-industrial injury. *    Conduct urine drug screens on pre-placement, random tests, and assist with "for cause" testing. *    Medical records management including verification. This includes pre-placement record keeping.Conducts all follow-up wound checks and bandage changes for workers to increase production and reduce workers compensation costs. *    Emergency care/response throughout facility. *    Performs audiometric testing for employees to comply with OSHA mandates. *    Maintains medical facility, i.e. preventative maintenance on equipment, supplies, and cleanliness. *    Assists with the coordination of physical therapy appointments and M.D. follow-up visits to minimize loss of production and cost. *    Perform similar, incidental and other duties as assigned.  MAJOR BUSINESS/PROFESSIONAL CONTACTS: Frequent contact with lead physician (BAE's supervising doctor) of assigned company clinic, specialty physicians, and craft supervisors. Periodic contact with public services i.e., local police department, fire department, paramedics and other emergency care providers.  REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS (REPORTS TO/SUPERVISION EXERCISED): Reports to Manager of Occupational Health & Safety, supervises medical technicians occasionally. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Inside: 95% Outside: 5% Current Professional license, emergency medical technician training by state of California, CPR certification, minimum 5 years experience in occupational medicine, audiometric certification and Drug/Alcohol testing certification. Prefer LVN or EMT People are the greatest asset in any Company ...BAE Systems is committed to a high performance culture and provides an environment that challenges our employees to be remarkable and obtain their full potential.We are an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer that understands the value of diversity and its impact on a high performance culture.Join us ...
