Helpdesk Administrator

The successful Helpdesk Administrator candidate will provide Level 1 support to Daylight Transport's corporate end-users and systems; supporting a variety of desktop production/ corporate end-user operating systems and software (Citrix, MS Office, D2K (in-house software), etc.).  The individual in this position will be a customer service focused self-starter with the ability to quickly and independently adapt to various scenarios and challenges.  Other, key responsibilities/duties will include:

 

Helpdesk Administrator Responsibilities:

· Provide Level 1 support of local and remote users and computers across a centralized IT Helpdesk environment.

· Assist with Microsoft Windows (2000/XP/Vista) OS and Application Support

· Assist with Citrix Metaframe Presentation Sever 3.0/4.5 Support

· Conduct system installations, backups, and recoveries

· Assist with in setting up and maintaining all corporate user accounts for data, security and voicemail

· Assist with Adding, moving, changing and removing workstations, printers, phones, security and other system equipment and peripheral

· Assist with Desktop OS/Application Patch Management and Administration

· Assist with Desktop Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware, and Malware Management and Administration

· Assist with Assuring software license compliance and overseeing hardware inventory

 

Helpdesk Administrator minimum requirements:

· Strong troubleshooting knowledge of PC and laptop hardware

· General working knowledge in an IT Helpdesk environment

· General knowledge of Dell/IBM/HP PCs and Laptops (Servers - optional)

· General understanding of Microsoft 2000/2003/XP/Vista client environments

· General troubleshooting knowledge of desktop Microsoft operating systems

· General troubleshooting knowledge of Microsoft Office and other third-party Applications

· General Citrix Administration knowledge

· General proficiency with Microsoft Exchange 2000/2003 and Outlook 2000/2003 administration

 

Helpdesk Administrator minimum education and professional requirements:

· High School Diploma or higher

· A+ and/or MCP Certifications or equivalent working knowledge

· 1 – 2 years working in an IT Helpdesk environment assisting with helpdesk calls and tickets

· 1 – 2 years working with Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 server administration experience

· 1 – 2 years working with Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 Terminal/Citrix Metaframe XP or higher administration experience

· 1 – 2 years in-depth troubleshooting experience of Desktop PCs, Microsoft operating systems, and Microsoft applications.
