HELP DESK TECHNICIAN

Our Information Systems department currently seeks a Help Desk Technician to provide technical support to end users in activities associated with the identification, prioritization, and resolution of reported problems.  The person chosen for this role will be responsible for performing on-site or in-house servicing, repair and/or installations, as well as technical assistance over the phone. Specific duties include troubleshooting, maintaining and installing hardware as needed, including computers, printers, fax machines, scanners, cell phones and other equipment; troubleshooting common software issues, including but not limited to MS Windows, MS Office and Lotus Notes; Helpdesk ticket entry to document, track and monitor the problem to ensure timely resolution; immediate communication with Network Administrator when problems appear to be system wide or additional assistance is needed to meet deadlines. Other duties will be assigned as needed.

 

The successful candidate must be able to adequately perform each essential duty and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction in the process. Requirements include any combination equivalent to 1-2 years of related work experience, an AA degree in a related field, or technical training; experience supporting MS Operating Systems such as Windows XP and MS Applications, including MS Office, Outlook, etc.; experience with maintaining hardware and building out PCs/laptops; Networking knowledge including network connectivity and general network operations; Experience troubleshooting PCs, software and copiers.
