Credit Manager

We are in need of a results-oriented finance professional with at least 6 years of experience to step in immediately as the credit manager for the company, leading a small team in managing our receivables exposure of over $80 MM. Two of those six years of experience should have been directly involved in credit analysis and risk management. You will report directly to the CFO in this credit manager role.
Primary Responsibilities
1.Lead and manage a small team whose mission is to establish and maintain appropriate credit limits for our diverse set of customers based on analytical rigor and sound business judgment.
2.Continually assess the tools and data we use in determining credit amounts and enhance as necessary.
3.Manage and develop relationships with vendors of our credit tools, as appropriate.
4.Contribute towards risk management strategy and policy for the company, working with the CFO.
5.Responsible for hiring, developing, training and supervising credit personnel.
6.Work collaboratively with our collections department in sharing information on customers so we minimize receivables losses.
7.Develop and execute a plan to expand the credit team’s capabilities so that it can cost effectively support a sales team of over 1000 people and customer base exceeding 15,000.
8.Other duties as assigned.
Required Job Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
2. At least 6 years of experience in Finance roles, 2 of which should be in credit management
3. Ability to prioritize many different requests and meet deadlines
4. Ability to interpret business needs from the sales and finance functions, and translate those needs into action in the credit department.
5. Excellent organizational skills and follow-up skills
6. Good communication skills
7. Good analytical and problem solving skills
8. Strong customer service orientation
Desired Job Qualifications:
1. 2+ years as a credit manager in a company that sells B2B services.
2. Extensive experience working with Dun and Bradstreet credit tools
3. Experience in other finance functions other than credit management.
4. MBA a plus.
