The Specialized Corporate Travel Counselor is responsible for the timely and accurate servicing of American Express Business Travel arrangements for corporate clients. Duties include: o Arrange complex international business travel services for air/rail transportation, hotels and minor domestic US travel needs o Counsel clients on efficient, multi-country routings for lowest available fares and preferred carrier usage o Ensure optimum customer service while coordinating interdepartmental responsibilities o Effective use of computer systems and exceptional telephone service techniques. o Research and resolve client inquiries. American Express is an Equal Opportunity Employer. QUALIFICATIONS: The select candidate must be well versed with international fare construction and airline routing principles. Also requires an active and usable in depth knowledge of world geography with 5+ years experience as an internationally skilled Corporate Travel Counselor. Must work well under pressure, demonstrate professional written and verbal communication skills and possess outstanding teamwork habits. Must be able to adapt communication styles to meet the needs of a diverse multi-cultural client base. Amadeus and/or Sabre experience preferred but not required.
