An outstanding opportunity exists for an Environmental Director to join the Clean Transportation Solutions Department of a growing non-profit organization in Southern CA.
Job Description Lead the team that works with fleets, ports, and developers to improve the environmental performance of their transportation operationsManage a solid book of business that is already established in the area, as well as generate new client relationshipsHelp the growth of the clean transportation industry by providing fuel and technology neutral, cost-effective solutionsEnsure that high quality environmental and economic analysis is done within a budget and timeline for clientsManage technical and financial modeling projects both internally and for clientsWork with Senior Management to provide strategic direction and oversee business development of the Clean Transportation Solutions Department
All candidates MUST have the following experiences to qualify for considerationBachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field. A Master’s Degree of PhD is highly preferredHave solid working knowledge of clean transportation technology, economics and regulationsExperience being involved with transportation selection, preferably in the fleet worldBe very familiar with CA policy framework relating to transportation, climate, and air quality regulation.The ideal candidate will have experience in a consulting firm, and will have a history of leading business development and building teamsA strong history of cultivating, supervising and motivating a staff consisting of project managers and associatesHave solid working knowledge of clean transportation technology, economics and regulationsBe comfortable operating in a creative, start-up environmentPossess a combination of analytical and managerial capabilities
