POSITION: Business Travel Agent

 REPORTS TO:  Business Travel Operations Manager

                        LOCATION: Salt Lake City-Utah . Full Time Position 

Sells a full range of travel products and services by processing and responding to corporate travel requests.  Counsels customers on all aspects of travel via the telephone and email. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

·          Research travel requests, quote fares and schedules, book reservations, issues tickets and prepares other travel related documents.

 

·          Consults customers by evaluating times, routings, fares, accommodation ratings, and discount programs.

 

·          Advises customers of product terms and conditions and confirms all reservations prior to travel.

 

·          Assist in researching and/or disputing agent debit memos.

 

·          Computes cost of travel, collects payment, and handles refunds, voids, exchanges and lost tickets.

 

·          Create and maintain company and traveler profiles.

 

·          Serve as a general resource for clients, researching problems and resolving issues.

 

·          Participate in educational opportunities to maintain up-to-date industry knowledge.

 

·          Project a consistently professional image of Morris Murdock Travel when dealing with vendors, co-workers, on-site agents and clients.

 

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

3-5 years Travel Agent experience

Experience with SABRE preferred

Exceptional customer service skills

Proven problem solving

Outgoing personality

Attention to detail and deadlines

Ability to drive results

Flexible and team oriented

Self motivated
