Position Description:

As Account Manager, you will be responsible for one of our large accounts.  You will have operational and P&L responsibility  for this account.  In this position, you will: 

·  Assist  in identifying, developing and quantifying supply chain improvement projects. 

·  Manage the implementation of these projects, and report on progress. 

·  Accept complete accountability for account P&L and customer savings and satisfaction. 

·  Manage complex organizational issues involving our customer’s functional areas and multiple locations. 

·  Recruit and train necessary on site management and logistics technicians. 

·  Manage a variety of supply chain sub-contractors and related relationships. 

·  Extensive travel is required. 

 

 

Requirements

 

The successful candidate for Account Manager will possess the following qualifications:

 

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field or substantial relevant experience. 

·  3 – 5 years transportation / supply chain management in a 3PL or manufacturing environment .

·  Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities – a “mentor.â€�

·  Superior analytical and problem solving skills.

·  Ability to think and work at multiple organizational levels:  strategic, operational, hands-on, as appropriate. 

·  Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.  MS Project experience a plus. 

·  Strong project management skills. 

·  Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

·  Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.

·  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·  Patience to work in a sometimes highly fluid environment (ours and the client’s).
