Position Responsibilities:Supervise claims process. Ensure claims are promptly reported to responsible TPA and that state reporting is completed according to state rulesSupervise all TPA activity – ensure each file is opened, evaluated, properly reserved and closed as efficiently and cost effectively as possible.Ensure claims are properly reserved and that files are evaluated accurately to determine ultimate loss exposure Reduce the number of and duration of lost time claimsEnsure employees are returned to duty and ensure the company’s light duty program is being managed at all operating centers so that employees released to light duty are working in an prescribed light duty roleWork with insurance carriers and TPA’s to reduce medical costs Work with Safety to implement effective and timely loss control measures and identify ways to create a safer work environment for our employeesAdminister self-insurance plans in the states where we are an authorized self-insurer, including completing reports and issuing payments to maintain self insurance.Provide timely loss reporting and reserve reporting to company management and state self-insurance departmentsWork as a member of the Corporate Claims department, including fielding calls and responding to various issues – to include weekend rotations.
Position Qualifications:Experienced adjusting claims required – minimum 7 years Workers Compensation adjusting experience Experience managing large self-insured, self-administered claims program preferredStrong verbal and written communication skillsBachelor’s degree preferred – relevant work experience and professional training considered in lieu of degreeStrong analytical competenciesTrack record of achievement and successImpeccable follow through and commitment to quality service
