Warehouse & Transportation Coach

Summary/Responsibilities of this position:

This position is located in our Houston Retail Support Centers and reports to the corresponding Facility Leader. 

The ideal candidate would be responsible for the following daily warehouse operations: receiving, inventory control, selection, stacking, and shipping activities. Daily operations in Transportation would include: routing, scheduling, dispatching, delivery, fleet maintenance or distribution center services. The successful candidate must be able to provide effective leadership of operational execution and planning to ensure the absolute best service to the retail customers.

 

Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Management or related field (preferred) or a minimum of three years of experience in a position that requires supervision of others. Good analytical ability & decision making skills as demonstrated through handling special projects or assignments. Strong leadership skills with proven ability in coaching & developing others as demonstrated through handling special projects or assignments. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written. Previous supervision experience in a Transportation environment a plus. Must have computer skills to include working in a Windows-based environment, Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mail. Demonstrated flexibility and capability to learn in a fast paced environment Ability to motivate partners and establish challenging team/individual goals. Ability to work flexible schedules to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
