Location:  Stennis Space Center, MS.

 

Job Duties: Performs warehousing  services applying the basic technical knowledge necessary to meet the needs of Hydrologic Instrumentation Facility (HIF) customers.  Typical duties under close supervision include:  (1) Picking and packing orders for equipment, (2) Performing inventory counts, (3) Processing incoming shipments and equipment returns, (4) Labeling and boxing equipment, (5) Relocating stock to storage locations.  The position requires operating a computer and warehousing management system software and bar code scanner to perform data input, records search, and data changes. 

 

Required Skills:  Knowledge of warehousing duties and responsibilities, the ability to operate lift trucks, fork lifts, dollies, and other warehousing equipment as well as the ability to lift items weighing up to seventy (70) pounds.  Respond to customer phone, email, or fax inquiries. 

 

Minimum Education Required:The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
