Transportation Supervisor

Job Description:
Primary responsibility will be to coordinate designated shift activities of the transportation department of over-the-road drivers. Thorough working knowledge of multi-stop routing systems and dispatch procedures. Knowledgeable with DOT regulations as they pertain to an over-the-road operation. Directly supervises a group of assigned drivers to achieve safe, timely and accurate delivery to customers. Coordinates activities with other Center departments to ensure accurate and timely deliveries occur.

Job Requirements:
-3-5 years of transportation management experience in the food distribution industry.
-Proven track record in all phrases of transportation in a fast paced environment including but not limited to: budgeting, DOT regulations, HAACP rules, OSHA regulations, recruiting, interviewing, selection, and training of drivers.
-Strong communication skills, and sound decision-making abilities
-Strong inter-personal skills
-Strong planning and organizing skills
-Flexible to varying work schedules
