JOB SUMMARY

We need a hands-on person to manage diverse fast paced transportation operations with a focus on minimizing costs while maintaining high levels of effectiveness and internal and external customer satisfaction. This entails management of both the Imperial internal fleet and outside trucking resources. In addition to having primary responsibility for customer deliveries, this person will contribute to both the efficiency and effectiveness of in-bound receipts, including imports.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

1.   Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, transportation, or related field or equivalent experience.

2. At least 5 years of experience in transportation industry, including experience in different modes of transporting goods.

3.   Demonstrated ability to reduce transportation costs.

4. Strong analytical skills.

5. Strong PC skills including Excel and Word.  Experience with J.D. Edwards a plus.

6. Ability to communicate clearly in a cross functional environment.

7. Experience with import/export logistics a plus.
