Regional HR Director

TMSi, a national distribution company recognized by Inbound Logistics as a 'top 100 3PL provider', is seeking an experienced Regional HR Director in the Atlanta area.

The candidate must be experienced in all areas of Human Resources and have multi-site HR management experience.  The successful candidate will partner with the Regional Operations Director to support 8 facilities throughout the country while balancing human resources activities and employee advocacy and creating processes, procedures and policies in support of business objectives.

The Regional HR Director is responsible for partnering with the Regional Director of Operations to do the following:Monitor and implement human resources policies to meet organizational needs and comply with state and federal laws.  Assist with corporate initiatives to develop, implement, and control new policies in meeting the changing needs of the company. Assist in monitoring regional operational budgets/metrics. Guides 'Union Organized' facilities in appropriate labor management relationships and non-union in positive employee relations (union avoidance) strategies. Represents management in negotiating collective bargaining agreements in unionized facilities. Oversee research of local market rates/benefits for facility positions to assess relationship to organization compensation/benefits plan, determining if & where adjustments should be made. Provide guidelines and oversee management of human resources activities, including but not limited to recruitment, performance reviews, benefits, training, safety and employee relations, and resolves problems requiring senior management intervention.  Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with facility human resources staff to exchange information and provide ongoing support and problem resolution.  Direct development and maintenance of human resources information systems to ensure record keeping and reporting requirements are accurate and timely. Analyze trends at each location in safety, absenteeism, turnover, hiring, promotions, separations and grievances to determine support or action needed to adjust unfavorable trends. Oversee training at each location to meet organizational needs and comply with state and federal laws.This would include but not limited to interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, sexual harassment, leadership development, and succession planning and diversity awareness.  Ensures records are maintained for each facility in Training database.  Engage with customers to review facility performance.Create a value based culture.Supervise HR representatives in HR Dept at multiple facilities.

 

Essential Qualifications:Ability to travel 60-70+%.Multi-site HR management experience required.Experience in a mid or large-size manufacturing or distribution facility, 200-300 employees. Labor Relations experience preferred.Qualified candidates will possess at least a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field and seven to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Masters Degree and PHR/SPHR certification preferred.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.



High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.Well organized and detail oriented.Excellent Microsoft Office products Word, Excel and PowerPoint knowledge required.Strong knowledge of employment laws, practices and concepts.Knowledge of KRONOS and HRIS preferred.HR support in a 3rd party environment - helpful, not required.
