Operations Coordinator - Dispatch

Dupre’ Logistics is currently seeking an Operations Coordinator for our office in Lafayette, LA.  Job Description Our Operations Coordinator works in a fast-paced position that is at the hub of activity in our business units. The main objective of an Operations Coordinator is to verify that the customer’s needs are met in a prompt and professional manner.   As a successful Operations Coordinator you must have a strong customer service orientation, a high level of organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent computer skills and an ability to multi-task at a very fast pace while thinking quickly and clearly.  Key duties: Â· Dispatch Drivers in an “Over the Roadâ€� Operating environment· Monitor key performance data to anticipate customer service problems, opportunities & risks· Coordinate delivery schedules with customers · Customer service for all accounts: answering inquiries and request· Administrative duties:  Complete payroll and purchase orders· Complete business analysis projects · Operate as lead on process improvement projects  This position is located in Lafayette, LA  Job Qualifications -  1-2 years of logistics/transportation and administrative experience, required-  Prior payroll and dispatching experience, preferred-  Customer service, operations and/or industrial experience is required.-  Computer skills:  Word, Excel, PowerPoint required.  AS400 a plus.  We have an excellent compensation package: competitive salary, insurance, retirement, training, and opportunities for advancement.
