Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Monitors treatment of injured workers and acts as a liaison between the employer, insurance provider and the employee.
· Arranges and attends medical evaluations, physician appointments and physical therapy when necessary.
· Coordinates Independent Medical Examinations, as well as provider appointments when necessary.
· Coordinates reviews of open files with insurance provider and employer to ensure compliance and adequate care.
· Reviews and evaluates all medical correspondence obtained by providers.
· Arranges and coordinates transitional return to work program with injured employees and providers.
· Coordinates Physical Standards Testing (PST) evaluations program.
· Routes employees who are returning to work from an injury or illness for a PST.
· Arranges PST for internal job transfers.
· Sets up PST testing and job requirements for new positions.
· Perform Job Analysis/Ergonomic Analysis to determine whether injured worker can perform their job duties.
· Evaluate jobs to determine if modifications of the work station/area can be made to accommodate the injured worker’s medical restrictions and allow for a successful return to work.
· Understand and manage all compliance regulations regarding FMLA, ADA, HIPPA and workers compensation.
· Compares and coordinates medical cost; analyses benefit outcomes.
· Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree and up to 2 years of related case management experience preferred.
· Valid RN/LPN License required.
· Must be able to travel and have a valid driver’s license.
· Excellent communication and organizational skills.
