Americana Worldwide, a freight forwarder headquartered in the Chicago area, specializing in the domestic transportation of exhibit properties and equipment as well as to and from Canada and Mexico, is seeking an experienced transportation professional based anywhere in the country.
Our core competency is tradeshow transportation and we also move machinery and equipment requiring air ride service from manufactures to the end user.
The ideal candidate has a van line or freight forwarder backround, can work from a home office with minimal supervision, has an ability to resolve problems quickly, a through understanding of the tradeshow transportation business, and has an existing book of business.
Job Description:
The candidate will be expected to retain his or her existing client base and develop new business by outside canvassing within the candidate's geographical area or through telephonic prospecting.
Education/Experience:
There is no specific educational requirement but a Bachelor's degree is prefered.
Three to five years experience in the transportation industry.
Basic computer skills and ability to utilize the internet to develop new customers.
