Manager, Quality/Safety
We are currently recruiting for a Quality and Safety Manager at our John Deere facility in Indianapolis, Indiana.Description of Duties: The duties of this position will be to provide oversight of Quality /Safety Management System at the CEVA/John Deere facility. Tasks will include analyzing quality and safety data, management of internal quality and safety audits, assisting in quality/process/safety training, planning and leading quality and safety related meetings. (Preventative Action, customer awareness, process improvement, quality metrics, Hazard identification and mitigation, safety culture/awareness, safety compliance, safety committee and safety action items) This position will be critical to customer and employee relationships, as they pertain to quality and safety. It will assist in defining customer expectations of quality and service. It will ensure that safety expectations are clearly communicated. This position will work with the contract management staff to plan, develop and maintain a management system that will meet CEVA and customer requirements for quality and safety. It will work with Contract Management to meet customer and CEVA KPIs. This individual will work with the appropriate contract personnel to develop work instructions, process flow diagrams, and additional quality / safety process improvement tools to ensure quality and safety processes, to ensure quality of service and a safe work environment. This position will also provide input into all Contract decisions that impact the quality of product and services provided to the customer. This person must have the ability to use industry recognized corrective action methods to address non-conformances including errors within the operation or at the customer’s facility and safety incidents including near misses, accidents and injuries. In addition, this person should be familiar with the ISO 9000 quality standards. Familiarity OSHAS 18001 is a plus. Knowledge of warehousing/general industry workplace safety is also a plus. This position will be responsible for working with personnel to ensure compliance with CEVA policy and procedures, and to implement an effective management system, that meets quality, safety standard requirements . Additional Requirements: This individual should have a Bachelors degree, with experience using a variety of quality techniques. Lean experience will be a plus. The position will require an individual with supervisory experience that is analytical, self-starting, detail-oriented, highly motivated, and flexible. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, as well as computer skills are required. This individual will report to the Director Quality & Safety. Local candidates only.
