Logistics Coordinator
Job summary
Position is 4 day/10 hr shift-
Friday-Monday, 8am-7pm
Ensure daily customer service requirements and carrier utilization plans are met with respect to performance and profitability
Summary of essential job functions
· Assign Carriers to move shipments based on delivery information.
· Profitability: Choose carriers based on service levels and profitability targets.
· Confirm Pickups.
· Confirm Deliveries.
· Dock Scheduling Shipments.
· Make tender rule and system enhancement suggestions.
· Create Performance Issues
· Negotiate carrier rates (under targets)
· Perform other functions deemed necessary by department supervisors.
· Other duties as required by business needs or as assigned.
Minimum RequirementsPC proficient (Microsoft Office preferred), communication and organizational skills
Minimum QualificationsBachelors Degree or work experience related to job
