The IT Business analyst will partner closely with external customers and internal partners and works as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems. The business analyst understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.

  Major/Key Accountabilites:

· Regional application enhancement support using project methodology

· Project status reporting

· Business needs documented and prioritized

· Capture user requirements and assess whether these requirements are satisfied in existing application functionality or development

· Involvement in the decommissioning of legacy systems ensuring that historic financial information is archived

· Assist with software upgrades and testing

· Support customized report requests

· Provide the IT teams with feedback on the user manuals and other documentation and provide corrective actions as needed

· Recommend desktop system performance standards and suggest hardware and software upgrades as necessary.

· BU needs analysis

· BU process analysis

· Business communications

· Issue tracking / escalation / follow up

· Project cost analysis

· Integration testing coordination

· Enhancement analysis

· Bug fix analysis

· System / application performance analysis

· Data integrity analysis

Pro-active system / application related business analysis

 

Qualifications and Experience:

 

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Preferably in Computer Information Systems or related field.

· Minimum of 3 years IT or business related experience.

· Minimum 1 years experience supporting or implementing SQL Based applications

· Experience with O’Neil RS-SQL Records Management System (Desirable)

· ERP applications

· B2B systems / applications

E-Commerce applications

 

Skills and Knowledge:

 

· Excellent written and verbal skills

· Ability to successfully work independently with minimal guidance

· Ability to work under pressure and multi-task

· Determine priorities and appropriate escalation 

· Attention to detail and highly motivated

· Strong systems support/troubleshooting skills

· Logical and analytical process thinking

· Relational database (RDBMS) and SQL

· Windows 2000 & Windows XP

· LAN/WAN infrastructure

· Server/PC/Laptop builds

· Microsoft Office suite of products

· Relevant certifications that demonstrate knowledge

Knowledge of RUP, SDLC, or other process methodologies
