INSIDE ACCOUNT MANAGER Con-way Freight currently has an opening for an Inside Account Manager in Ann Arbor, MI. Desired Competencies: Self motivated; ability to work independently with little supervision while maintaining consistently high activity. Excellent presentation skills. Proven record of achieving aggressive sales and activity goals. Strong telephone presentation skills Ability to work in a team environment and share best practices. Energetic Competitive within a team environment Quick thinking and persistent with a positive attitude. Cold call proficiency Bi-Lingual Language (French or Spanish) is a plus. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Manage a portfolio of smaller clients Prospect “new” clients Will have defined sales goals Procure leads Develop and execute strategies to maximize growth and profitability in assigned territory. Meet and exceed department and company sales objectives. Present pricing agreements utilizing negotiation skills to competitively position Con-way. Create and define value for customers by understanding their business model, developing their needs and applying Con-way capabilities. Cold / Warm calling Performance metrics/measurements and incentives: New account generation Account development (bill count, revenue growth) Account support SPIN execution Price negotiations Opportunities: Account Executive role in the field after proven performance in this role Who are we?Con-way Inc. is a $4.7 billion parent company of Con-way.
