Human Resources Generalist
TMSi, a national distribution company, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist for its facility in Mascot, Tn, approximately 15 miles northeast of Knoxville.
The candidate must be experienced in all areas of Human Resources with some prior Labor Relations experience a plus. The successful candidate will be responsible for recruitment and retention, training, and the development of policies and procedures as business objectives require.
Position Summary:Work effectively and develop relationships with the union leadership. Partner with facility supervisors, managers and influence management regarding policies, practices and laws and regulations.Drive employee relations working to create an open and cooperative work environment while promoting an active communication path within the organization.Respond to employee questions and concerns.Coordination of an affirmative action plan.Drive employee recruitment and orientation process.Follow-up on employee evaluations.
Essential Qualifications:Experience in a mid to large size manufacturing or distribution facility, 200-300 employees. Union experience required. Contract administration is a plus.BA/BS degree preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.Well organized and detail oriented.Excellent MS Office products skills.Knowledge of employment laws, practices and concepts.Knowledge of KRONOS and HRIS preferred.HR support in a 3rd party environment helpful, not required.
