Head Inventory & Stock Accountant - Customer Facing and Company Critical
Head Inventory & Stock Accountant - Customer Facing and Company CriticalJob Id:USDE-STOCK
"With responsibility comes authority." So says our CFO, and we are looking for someone to follow that mandate. Our new Head Inventory & Stock Accountant will be responsible for analyzing and maintaining multiple customer product inventory accounts, and for interfacing directly with those customers. You will enjoy direct and open access to company management, you will be trusted to manage yourself and your team, and you will be entrusted with our clients. While we are a smaller company, we maintain a high ranking among our competition in the petrochemical logistics business, and are recognized as one of the industry leaders. We offer very generous compensation, benefits including 100% paid health insurance, matching 410K, dental and vision plans, and employer paid life and disability insurance. For the experienced, self-sufficient inventory or stock analyst/accountant who knows this business and is looking for a company with no bureaucracy and lots of opportunity, you have found it!
The growing success of U.S. Development Group (USD) is based on it's proven ability to identify and acquire location-critical real estate throughout the United States to support a strategy of managing the entire process of designing, financing, constructing, operating and owning an expanding nationwide network of terminal facilities and infrastructure that provides options for real customer-driven logistics solutions for: • railcar storage • unit train staging • bulk loading/offloading • maintenance and cleaning • improved fleet management and utilization • truck-railcar-marine transloading • liquids terminalling • order fulfillment Until now, these options may have been inaccessible, unavailable or uneconomical to customers attempting to manage their rail supply and distribution processes within the constraints of the present infrastructure of the railroads. USD personnel represent years of extensive experience in banking and finance, real estate development and operations management within the railroad, chemical manufacturing and terminalling industries – having served in the role of a supplier and/or customer of rail and terminal ling services themselves. USD is uniquely qualified to work FOR the customer by way of the manner in which it works WITH the railroads. In fact, railroads are counted among key USD customers. USD takes time to understand the particulars of each customer’s rail logistics processes and challenges and then develops real solutions implemented through the design of its rail facilities and supported by USD’s own Customer Service Center in Houston.
As the Head Inventory & Stock Accountant for U.S. Development Group in our Pasadena, TX office, your chief task will be to account for and keep track of every gallon of ethanol that passes through the terminal. Your prior work experience in this or a similar industry will provide you with an understanding of how product travels through pipes and railcars, how product is stored in tanks and barges, industry standards, and customer expectations. Your purview will include ensuring the accuracy of inventory levels and identifying and explaining variances, forecasting levels, and implementing processes and systems to keep these tasks regulated. Armed with this information, you will serve as the face and representative of the company to your customers, proactively keeping them apprised of their product inventory. Your honed communication skills will serve you well as you interface with clients and internal management alike. Clearly this is a data driven job, so your detailed and organized approach to your work will allow you to tackle your responsibilities with ease and accuracy. As we grow, so will your responsibilities, and you will be tasked with planning and overseeing the opening of new terminals, and the training of new staff. Take on an empowering new role with a well-positioned company and propel your career in the right direction.
