General Manager, IAH George Bush Int'l Airport

Reporting to the Regional VP Operation, East Coast USA, the successful applicant will be responsible for our operations in IAH, delivering a robust and financially viable operational plan, and ensuring its implementation through the local teams. Guaranteeing the development of products, processes and behaviors that will deliver great service at the right price while controlling costs. Providing a safe and secure operation for our customers and our staff, and delivering the Menzies brand promise, locally within the allocated budget. They must develop strong relationships with local partners, government agencies and local industry representatives to maximize business potential and provide a stable trading environment.  Principle Accountabilities: -    Responsible for day to day operational performance, safety, security and customer satisfaction through effective support and management of delivery areas. Accountable for the development and implementation of all necessary operational and administrative policies and procedures to an approved Menzies standard. Accountable for ongoing day to day management to an approved business plan. Overall responsibility for local delivery of corporate projects. Improve delivery of Menzies products and services through motivated teams. Through monitoring of key customer service indicators, identify gaps, plan and resource effectively to fill them, including contingency planning. Identify and develop best practice. Maximize revenue both through core operational development and other associated opportunities. Manpower utilization productivity. Responsible for compliance to required standards for the safety and security of Menzies Operations.  Essential Capabilities: -  Skills: - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Strong team-working skills in a multi-cultural environment - High understanding of passenger, ramp and cargo environment, procedures and processes - Strong anticipation and planning (as opposed to reactivity and firefighting) - Financially and commercially aware Experience: - Experience with proven success in managing large site operations in an operationally challenging environment. - Experience of successful operational crisis management - Full knowledge of Menzies policies and processes in terms of strategy, development, safety and security, products  and services - Comfortable with communication and presentation in front of mixed audiences Expertise: - Networking at all levels - Expertise in crisis management - Strong operational business understanding - Proven people manager - Strong project manager  NO AGENCIES OR PHONE CALLS PLEASE.
