Facilities Engineer

The facilities engineer is responsible for performing the day-to-day maintenance and repair of facility infrastructure and systems. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, inspections, preventative/predictive maintenance and reacting to unplanned maintenance requirements on all facility utility systems to ensure the safety/health of Aristocrat employees. Individual will be an essential member of the Facilities Team whose goal is the development and enhancement of facility maintenance processes and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Ensures the proper operation of all building systems including heating, air conditioning, electricity, fire alarms, sprinklers, card access, video surveillance, and plumbing.2. Must be knowledgeable in NEC, NFPA, and UPC guidelines to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.3. Performs periodic preventive maintenance, inspection and minor repairs as required to maintain the efficient operation of all facility systems and minimize down time.4. Maintains accurate records with regard to annual inspection of equipment and general preventative maintenance.5. Maintains inventory of equipment and repair parts lists to ensure proper maintenance and installations are accomplished on time.6. Complies with all changes to the building including new construction and electrical.7. Identifies outside contractors to perform more complex maintenance, repair and new construction, as needed.8. Arranges for and/or moves equipment and furniture.9. Tests and maintains the Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) system and Emergency Generators, which provides backup power in the event of an electrical failure.10. Perform minor maintenance such as hanging pictures, shelves, repairing stair treads and other like tasks as assigned.11. Serves as back-up for maintaining security card access to the Birtcher facility.12. On-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week to respond to building emergencies.13. Participates fully in company health and safety program and complies with all company OSHA policies and procedures and EPA requirements.14. Maintains work area and equipment in clean, orderly, and safe conditions.15. Follows all lawful employer safety and health rules.16. Wears and/or uses Personal Protective Equipment, when and how instructed.17. Reports hazardous conditions to management.18. Repors any job-related injury or illness to management, and seeks treatment promptly.19. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Certification in HVAC, Electrical, and plumbing systems, and or other trades is preferred.Experience: Requires a minimum of five to seven years of building maintenance experience or equivalent.Skills, knowledge, and qualifications:* Ability to read, comprehend and work from technical documents, blueprints, and electrical schematics is required.* Strong problem solving and decision making skills are a must.* Ability to organize and plan work activities and take initiative as needed.* Completes work tasks with thoroughness and accuracy.* Must follow-through with assignments and commitments and complete assignments in a reasonable time and within budget.* Ability to work independently.PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:Assigned duties are in an office/manufacturing building where frequent walking, bending, reaching, squatting, gross and fine motor skills are required. Duties require the ability to physically access all areas of the building including the roof. Must have the ability to work from ladder. Frequent bending, twisting, and stretching are required to work on equipment and to pick up parts or materials. Ability to sit, talk, hear, and possess good vision is required. May be required to life up to 80 lbs. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language is a must.
