Experienced Trucking Dispatcher / Load Planner
Position Scope: Under direct supervision from the Operations Manager; schedule, coordinate and monitor drivers and equipment, to ensure daily transportation operations run safely, efficiently and on time; maintain computerized dispatch systems, inputting data and producing reports.
Position Responsibilities:
Schedule, coordinate and monitor drivers and equipment. Assist in the development, planning and modification of daily schedules as appropriate. Make daily notifications to customer service and the Operations Manager as to the status of HVP shipments. Maintain computerized routing systems, inputting data and producing revenue reports. Communicated with Operations Manager and customer service regarding transportation needs; equipment and crew. Track and calculate HVP revenue daily/weekly; report to Operations Manager. Conduct periodic reviews for drivers and helpers. Calculate weekly timecards for employees; report to Operations Manager. Manager, plan and direct the HVP account; ensure all loads are on time and exceed customers expectations. All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Must have current dispatch experience. High School Diploma, 1-2 years previous experience in transportation / logistics; preferably in high value products. 1 year of Customer Service experience. Ability to operate desk top products, i.e. personal computer, general office machinery. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
